SEGA released a short, new character video today, giving us our first glimpse at the remodeled face of Judgment character Kyohei Hamura. The captain of the Matsugane Family was previously based on Pierre Taki, who was arrested this March. Check out the clip below.
Throughout Yagami's investigation, he'll have to collaborate with, and occasionally face off against, some of the most powerful individuals in Kamurocho.

Taki was arrested for alleged use and possession of cocaine. In Japan, this is a major crime and sales of Judgment were halted as SEGA took copies off the shelf to replace Taki’s face and voice. His voice was also patched out of Kingdom Hearts 3. After the arrest, many fans were wondering if this would push back the Western release date (Judgment released on December 13, 2018, in Japan). The studio quickly confirmed that this would not be the case and the game is still coming out as scheduled on June 25.
Judgment is a spin-off of the popular Yakuza series. Like Yakuza, it is an action-adventure game. However, in this game, you are playing on the other side of the law. You play as private detective Takuya Kimura as he investigates a serial murder case. Kimura doesn’t have to solve everything with his fists; he is a P.I. after all. Judgment gives you plenty of opportunities to use more than just your brawling to get to the bottom of the case. You’ll need to use all the tricks in the book to catch the perpetrators. Interrogation, tailing suspects, donning disguises, and many other things will all be available actions to help you solve the mystery.
Judgment will be out on June 25, 2019, exclusively for the PS4. It can currently be pre-ordered on Amazon.
