Eko Software, Bigben Interactive, and Maximum Games released a new trailer for Rugby 18 that gives a nice overview of the game’s gameplay mechanics prior to the title’s launch this Friday on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

Players have full control over the player with the rugby ball, though they will have to keep an eye on each athlete’s endurance games, as they will be much slower and easier to stop if the gauge depletes completely. One can navigate around their opponents with a variety of different dodges and fends, and can also punt the ball at any time. The offense has the ability to pass the between those in their line or behind them at any time, while the defense tries to tackle the player with the ball.

During rucks, one must try to add as many players to the pile as possible in order to win and get the ball. There are tons of other small mechanics in individual rugby games that the trailer also highlights, so be sure to check it out if you are planning on getting Rugby 18. According to the developers, players can partake in “dynamic tutorials” every time they run into a new action in the full game, so those who are unfamiliar with the sport shouldn’t be too lost.

You can check out the gameplay overview trailer below. Rugby 18 is poised to launch on PC, PS4, and Xbox One this Friday, October 27.
