Ever since Season 5 of Fortnite started a little more than a month ago, the game’s map has been littered with small little rift portals that, when jumped into, will automatically transport you to the top of the map, allowing you to activate your glider once more. Now, for some reason, Epic Games has detected a bug with the portals, and because of this, they’ve temporarily disabled them in-game.
The news was announced via the developer’s official Twitter account, although they didn’t specifically name what bug was affecting the portals. Epic Games didn’t give any timeline as to when the bug should be fixed, however, these things usually don’t take very long, so here’s hoping that you’ll soon be able to start teleporting once again soon.
In other Fortnite news, two days ago v5.21 of the game was officially released to the world and it contained a brand new weapon and two new modes for fans to sink their teeth into.
Fortnite is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Windows PC, and Nintendo Switch, as well as iOS and Android devices.
Due to a bug with the Rifts, we’re temporarily disabling them in all game modes until we have a fix. We’ll update you once this is resolved.
