As already promised, Capcom delivered tons of new details about Resident Evil Village during last night’s Resident Evil Showcase. You’ve probably checked out the game’s cinematic trailer and gameplay trailer before, so here we go over the multiple editions of Resident Evil 8 that will be available at launch.
First of all, if you pre-order any of the game’s existing editions, you will receive the Mr. Racoon weapon charm and a starter survival resource pack that might come in handy in the first few hours of your experience. Next, there’s the Digital Deluxe edition that includes a pack of in-game items and digital content called Trauma Pack. This includes a Mr. Everywhere weapon charm, Safe Room music, the iconic save device, the maximum difficulty level, Resident Evil 7‘s Found Footage filter, an Albert01 pistol with a silencer, and a digital artbook called The Tragedy of Ethan Winters. The Digital Deluxe edition will be available for all platforms.
If you are a big fan of the Resident Evil series, Capcom offers you the Collector’s edition of Resident Evil Village that includes a striking figure of Chris Redfield, a poster of the Village’s map, a physical artbook, a steel book, and a box that contains all these stuff along with the game itself. By purchasing the Collector’s edition you will receive all the items available in the Digital Deluxe edition as well. Be aware that the Collector’s edition will only be available on consoles.
Last but not least, there’s also a bundle of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard and Resident Evil Village for those who haven’t played the prequel to Village‘s events. This bundle will also be available on all platforms.
Resident Evil Village is set to be launched this year on May 7th for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. You can play a demo of the game called Maiden exclusively on PS5 right now.
