Capcom excited Resident Evil fans today by revealing that a remake of Resident Evil 3 will release next April alongside the previously revealed Resident Evil Resistance. Following that announcement, GameStop and Capcom confirmed that they are collaborating to create Resident Evil 3: Collector’s Edition.
The special version of the game is a GameStop exclusive, limited to the console releases, and will cost you $179.99. That being said, it’s a pretty good package for that cost. Getting the obvious inclusions out of the way first, Resident Evil 3: Collector’s Edition comes with the standard version of the game as well as a digital soundtrack. As for the physical goodies, it will also include a double-sided map of Racoon City, a physical Collector’s art book, and a nice looking 11″ figure of Jill Valentine. As the cherry on top of an already solid release, the packaging for this Collector’s Edition will be themed after a S.T.A.R.S item box.
Those who choose to pick up this Collector’s Editon will be getting it the day of release. For those of you who don’t already know, Resident Evil 3 and Resident Evil Resistance are coming to PC, PS4, and Xbox One on April 3, 2020. As a pre-order bonus, players can get a Classic Costume Pack that includes Jill’s original outfit and a modified hairstyle for Carlos Oliveira.
