Despite both Resident Evil 2 and Kingdom Hearts III having great debuts the past two weeks, neither title could stay ahead of Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption 2 on the UK sales chart for the sixth week of the year.
Red Dead Redemption 2 jumped back up to the number one position on the chart this week and beat out likely the two hottest games of the 2019 while doing so. In addition, FIFA 19 also jumped past both RE2 and KH3 this week to reclaim the number two position. After a strong 2018 for FIFA 19, it continues to sell extremely well in the UK along with RDR2.
As for Kingdom Hearts III and Resident Evil 2, they each landed at third and fourth respectively on the sales chart this week, which is still solid all things considered. Per usual, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 rounded out the top 5 this week.
As for notable new debuts, last week didn’t see any high profile games releasing and as such the sales chart remained relatively stagnant. Things should change drastically this coming week though as new titles like Jump Force, Far Cry New Dawn, Metro Exodus, and Crackdown 3 are all slated to release on Friday, February 15.
