During a special Nintendo Switch livestream event, tinyBuild Games announced that they’d be bringing the boxing management simulator Punch Club to the device sometime later this year.
If you’re not familiar with the title, you manage a boxer in training and prepare them for a series of matches while also trying to figure out the mystery behind who killed their father. The game is a humorous love-letter to action films of the 1980s and 1990s.
You’ll manage your boxer at each location they go to throughout their schedule, like their home, job, the boxing gym, and stores. Time progresses as you move from location to location. You’ll have to manage your boxer’s strength, agility, and stamina, all of which will play into how you perform during each boxing match in your trek to become the local champion. Doing certain things will also affect your hunger, happiness, and alertness which if not managed correctly, will make other activities unavailable to you.
As of right now, the game is available on a slew of different platforms like PC, Mac, iOS, Android, Nintendo 3DS, Xbox One, and PS4. The game will be coming to Switch sometime in May for $14.99, you can check out the new trailer down below.
If you missed out on any other announcements from the tinyBuild livestream, the publisher also announced they’d be bringing The Final Station, Party Hard, Hello Neighbor, Streets of Rogue, and ClusterTruck to the Switch this year.
