Until this moment I never imagined what Persona 5 and Animal Crossing: New Horizon crossover fanart would look like. But seeing it now, Twitter artist Enrique Bolatre (Lovely Nighto) meshes the two completely different styles as they imagine what the main cast would look like as the villagers from the popular Nintendo title:

Crossover art is always a fun concept: figuring out how to take the aesthetics and designs of two very different pieces of media and combining them into a new entity is a satisfying feat. And I won’t lie, seeing the Persona 5 castor Animal Crossing: New Horizon combined so well is a lot of fun.

The latest free update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons was back in April and it brought a host of changes such as new villagers to the island, added some fun seasonal events, and opened up a new wing in the museum. Animal Crossing: New Horizons was recently featured in the Financial Times, an actual real life publication, after some severe in-game interest rate cuts from Tom Nook.
According to Famitsu, Animal Crossing: New Horizons on Switch sold more than 1.88 million copies as of March 23th. The title released worldwide on March 20th, which means it managed to sell 1.88 million physical copies in Japan in only three days. And overall the game’s Nintendo Switch debut sold 11.77 million units between its March 20th launch and the March 31st, placing it seventh among the console’s highest-selling titles.
Sega hasn’t provided us with a clear sales figure for Persona 5 Royal as of yet. However, we do know a few things from previous reports. In its first month in Japan, the game had shipped over 400K copies. Royal also topped the sales charts in both Taiwan and South Korea. Plus, it was in the top ten for both the UK and US charts during its opening weeks.

We discussed the challenges faced working with a game that has already been released in Japan, changes in the English localization between the original P5 and Royal, how streaming policies have been being handled since its launch in the West, the EFIGS localization, and more.
