Nintendo might have the Nintendo Switch’s success causing the company hours of busy work, but they haven’t forgotten about the Nintendo 3DS console. Remember that? The handheld console that can turn your screen into a 3D image by messing around with your eyeballs?
A new update rolled out bringing the latest version of the Nintendo 3DS and DS family to 11.9.0-42. There’s not really much to report on here except that the update plans to enhance user experience. There are also some improvements to system stability ensuring that the console is still supported and working fine and dandy for those that do use it.
The official notes for the update that was released yesterday states:
“Further improvements to overall system stability and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user experience”
So don’t expect to go running to your 3DS expecting some fancy new UI or new features to play around with. Also worth noting is that this update applies to the following Nintendo consoles: New Nintendo 3DS, New Nintendo 3DS XL, New Nintendo 2DS XL, Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo 3DS XL, Nintendo 2DS.
If you’re interested, or perhaps grabbing a 3DS for someone this Christmas, we ran a DualShockers Definitives post to detail the top ten 3DS games you should try. And then because there were so many, we extended it to the top forty games you can grab for the console.
