It is officially summertime for Nintendo Switch owners. While the actual season doesn’t technically kick off until June 20, Nintendo has launched a massive summer game sale on the Nintendo eShop. The sale is full of excellent games from all across the range of genres. If you can’t find anything to play here, then we’ve got some problems. Check out the full sale on Nintendo’s site.
Seriously, there are so many games in this sale that are worth a look. There are some big Nintendo-developed games like Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe, Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze, and Mario Tennis Aces. Additionally, the sale includes some must-try indies like Wargroove, AI: The Somnium Files, and Coffee Talk. And really, those titles are just the tip of the iceberg. There are games for everybody here.
For my money, the games to give a look are some of the smaller games perfectly suited to the Switch. Those include games like Golf Story, Murder by Numbers, Dead Cells, and Slay the Spire. Personally, Golf Story and Murder by Numbers are two of my personal favorite Switch games. I’m always going to champion them. If you’re looking for AAA games, the sale has you covered with the likes of Overwatch, The Witcher 3, and DOOM, among many others.
Outside of the main sale, publishers like WB Games, Ubisoft, Devolver Digital, and Bandai Namco are running sales for their catalog that are worth a look. If you were hoping to load up your Nintendo Switch with some great games, there might not be a better time to do it.
The Nintendo Summer Game sale runs from June 9 to the 16. Most of the publisher sales end the same day. So, you have some time, but don’t miss out on some of these excellent deals.
