Just a few weeks after bringing Ninja Gaiden 2 to Xbox One as a backward compatible title, Mircosoft has now brought along the game’s sequel in addition to Trials Evolution.
Microsoft made the announcement just recently that as of now, Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge is available for play on Xbox One. While this is surely news that will please many fans, perhaps the only downside is that unlike Ninja Gaiden 2’s addition, Razor’s Edge will not be enhanced for Xbox One X devices. Considering that Ninja Gaiden 2 though was Xbox 360-exclusive though and Razor’s Edge wasn’t, this makes a bit of sense. Now if the original Ninja Gaiden for Xbox could just arrive, we’d have the whole modern series available on Xbox One.
While NG3 is likely the highlight addition to the backward compatible list this week, Trials Evolution has also now been added as well. Originally released back in 2012 as an Xbox Live Arcade title, Trials Evolution is much like the other games in the Trials series. You’ll hop on a motorcycle, work your way through dangerous obstacle courses, and try to get the best time possible. The most recent entry in the series, Trials Rising, just released earlier this year.
All in all, this is a pretty solid slate of new backward compatible titles on Xbox One. The total list of backward compatible titles on Xbox One is now over 500 and continues to grow just a bit nearly every week.
