A little over two years after originally launching, PlatinumGames has now shared the latest sales figures for its action RPG Nier: Automata and they continue to be quite impressive.
As of now, Nier: Automata has officially passed four million copies sold in total. This number is compromised of all the game’s various releases across PS4, PC, and Xbox One. In addition, both digital and physical sales also amount to this total.
Even though this number might not seem all that massive compared to some other games, Nier: Automata has proven to be a massive success for Square Enix and PlatinumGames. A total of more than 4 million for a more niche product is incredibly impressive and likely surpasses what Platinum originally expected of Nier by quite a bit.
In addition to announcing this new milestone, some of the developers who worked on Nier: Automata also took the time to give fans personal messages of gratitude for the game’s success. Some of these team members ever created specialized new art to celebrate this new sales marker. You can find all of those art pieces in the gallery at the bottom of this page if you’d like to see.
And if you’d like to read all of the “thank you” messages from the Nier team for yourself, you can head over to Platinum’s website right here. Lastly, you can also watch a brief video down below featuring Taura and Hideki Kamiya talking about the latest milestone and thanking fans for 4 million copies sold.
