Earlier today, Bandai Namco released a Japanese trailer for its Souls-like action-JRPG Code Vein, featuring companion character Louis.
Just a few minutes ago they followed up with the English version of the trailer, and not only we get more insight on Louis’ backstory in English, but we also receive a sample of his voice acting for North America and Europe.
Louis is working on researching the blood tears to free the revenants from their curse, and she fights using a sword and his Ogre-type blood veil.
Like we saw in the trailer released a few days ago for Mia Karnstein and the one for Yakumo Shinonome, it appears that the English voice acting is actually quite good for this game, which a pleasant surprise considering the average level for Japanese games. We’ll have to see if this kind of quality will extend to the final game.
You can check out the trailer below. If you want to see more, you can also check out a lot of gameplay from a couple of weeks ago, another trailer, and a recent gallery of screenshots.
Code Vein will release in Japan on September 27th. The western launch will follow just one day later on September 28th for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. If you want to grab a copy, can already pre-order it on Amazon.
