We are finally only one day away from the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 multiplayer beta (pending it doesn’t go up early today) but Treyarch is still releasing new details about certain aspects of both the preview going live this weekend and the full game, including info on new game modes and more.
First and foremost, we knew that the beta would be introducing two brand new multiplayer maps into the fold but we didn’t know any other details about them. Now we have official descriptions for each of them. Hacienda, which is the multi-leveled map featured in the beta trailer from a few days ago, is set in the Spanish countryside and is the home of a local crimeboss. Gridlock on the other hand, which can also be seen in the trailer, is set in Japan at a city center after a bank robbery.
In addition to that, it was also revealed that the beta will also feature a brand new version of Team Deathmatch, which features 6v6 combat (as opposed to the normal 5v5 combat) and allows multiple specialists on one team.
The Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 multiplayer beta is set to go live tomorrow on PlayStation 4 (unless Treyarch decides to pull a fast one on us and release it today, similar to what Sledgehammer Games did last year with their beta), with the Xbox One and PC version coming next weekend. Until then, you can check out our original preview from the May 2018 reveal event. If you want to pre-order the game on Amazon, you can do so by clicking here.
