My Hero One’s Justice has now shipped 500,000 units worldwide across PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC. To celebrate the game has been discounted by 30%, for those in Japan.
Bandai Namco first released My Hero One’s Justice, an adaptation of popular shonen manga, on August 23, 2018 in Japan as My Hero Academia: One’s Justice for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. A North American and European version was announced in April 2018 and released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Windows PCs on October 26, 2018. For those living in Japan you can get the game at a 30% discount until Wednesday, February 13, 2019. Generally sold at 7,600 JPY ($69.40 USD) it can now be purchased for 5,278 JPY ($48.20 USD). PlayStation Network and the Nintendo eShop are region free, you just have to create a Japanese account on your console of choice.
Midoriya, main protagonist of My Hero Academia, will be a character in Jump Force, the next anime game from Bandai Namco set to release on February 15, 2019 alongside Crackdown 3, Metro: Exodus, and Far Cry: New Dawn. Big day. My Hero Academia revolves around a group of young superheroes whose powers are called quirks as they make their way through a superpowered high school and take on the League of Villains. Protagonist Izuku Midoriya at first has no quirk but after a chance encounter proving his morality he gains the One for All quirk from top hero All Might. The manga began in 2014 and has continued to the present, with an anime adaptation popping up in 2016 and continuing through today. My Hero One’s Justice is the second My Hero Academia game, with the first, My Hero Academia: Battle for All, was released on the Nintendo 3DS in 2016 and never made its way west. It received a 31/40 from Famitsu, with My Hero One’s Justice receiving the same score, 31/40.
