DMM was supposed to launch the iOS and Google App versions of its free to play Muv-Luv Alternative game Muv-Luv Alternative: Strike Frontier on January 18th, yet it was not to be, not yet at least.
Apparently some sizable problems cropped up when the game went on maintenance on Thursday, and the development team kept extending it. After keeping the game offline for a whole day, they finally brought it back, but were forced to delay the new versions to a less specific “late January.”
This could mean next week, since normally the game goes on maintenance on Thursdays, and the 25th is the only one left in January, yet this is just my personal speculation.
In other news, this week we get an event featuring a slightly lesser-known area of the Muv-Luv saga, focusing on the defense of the Defence of the JFK Naval Garrison Base in Muv-Luv Unlimited The Day After.
The event rewards players with two SSR TSF mechas, the Power-attribute F- 18 E/F Super Hornet in VMF-318 Black Knives livery with machine guns and the F- 18 E/F Super Hornet in VF-133 Raging Busters livery with rocket launchers.
As a bonus, we also get two Power-attribute pilots, SR Wilbert D. “Will” Collins and HR Daryl A. “Big Mama” McManus. Two more SSR characters are included in the weekly gacha, Melvina Vidya Advani and Lilia Kjellberg.
At the moment, the game is available only in Japanese, but as soon as the new versions are released, I’ll write one of my handy guides about it, to help you get started in case you want to. If you don’t want to wait, the account you need is the same as the one featured in my Dead or Alive Xtreme: Venus Vacation guide.
