Capcom released Monster Hunter World in January 2018. The Monster Hunter series has been one of the most lucrative game IPs ever in Japan, and true to its title, the World iteration also managed to make the franchise more popular than ever outside Japan as well. The Monster Hunter World: Iceborne package sold over 2.8 million copies the month of its launch in September 2019.
Overall, Capcom had all-time high profits in the last fiscal year, and is planning to launch multiple new large titles this year. Even more AAA titles are coming further down the line, such as the newly revealed Pragmata, coming in 2022.
In case you forgot, a live-action Monster Hunter movie is also coming in September 2020.
If you’d like to become an hunter yourself you can grab the game on Amazon to support us: PS4, Xbox One.
