Monster Hunter Stories 2 demo release date
Capcom will launch a demo for Monster Hunter Stories 2 on June 25, 2021 uniquely on Switch. Players who try out the demo will be able to transfer their saves to the full game, keeping their progress. Meaning the demo should have a lot of content to keep you occupied. We should soon hear about the exact release time of the demo on Twitter. The demo will onlybe coming to Steam with the game’s release.
Capcom also revealed the Palamute from Monster Hunter Rise will be added through a free DLC update in Stories 2. Monster Hunter Rise will also add content from Stories 2.
Monster Hunter Stories 2 is a spinoff of the series, and is a traditional JRPG, rather than an action game akin to a constant boss rush. It’s different but similar, and has its own Monster Hunter lore.
Personally speaking, I believe Monster Hunter Stories initially started as a bait series in order to bring in more players, more younger players especially, into the main Monster Hunter series. Over the time, it looks like Capcom is now planning to make with Stories 2 a fully ambitious and polished game. Funnily, it feels like what Level-5 could do with a series like Ni no Kuni, but in much better and exciting form. I’m definitely looking forward to the release of Stories 2.
Overall, the Monster Hunter segment of the E3 Capcom showcase had no surprise. Monster Hunter Rise had two demos before its release, and seems like Capcom will keep going with that strategy with the series in the future.
Monster Hunter Stories 2 Wings of Ruin launches on Nintendo Switch and PC on July 9, 2021.
