If you’re like me and one of the few people still playing Modern Warfare Multiplayer instead of Cold War or Warzone, you’ll be pleased to know we have brand new maps to play on.
After previously being added into private matches then mysteriously removed, Al Raab Airbase and Drainage have returned to Modern Warfare. This time, the maps are playable in public Multiplayer matches.

Modern Warfare Playlist Update – June 29
On June 29, a new playlist update went live in Modern Warfare Multiplayer. The update marks the return of Al Raab Airbase and Drainage, as Al Raab receives its very own 24/7 playlist and Drainage gets added into Gunfight.
The recent Playlist Update also removes Search and Destroy Double Down.
Modern Warfare – Al Raab Airbase
Now that Al Raab Airbase and Drainage are here to stay, lets take a look at the map layout as well as some images so you can get ready to slay in the new 24/7 playlist or in Gunfight.
Al Raab Airbase takes place in an airbase previously occupied by Barkov’s Forces before being liberated by the Urzikstan Liberation Force. The area has now been repurposed as a US Forward Operating Base. The airbase map features a shooting range, hangar, barracks, basketball court, and a gym yard.

Modern Warfare – Drainage
Drainage is a small construction site that is great for small teams and close combat, which is why the map is only available in Gunfight. The layout is almost symmetrical on each side.

Will Modern Warfare Receive Any Other New Maps?
Unfortunately, there’s no way of knowing if any further new maps are on their way to Modern Warfare. It came as quite a surprise for Al Raab Airbase and Drainage to make their debut considering the title is now almost 3 years old.
Activision are not known to continue supporting previous Call of Duty titles once the new yearly release comes around. It’s not impossible, but we imagine this will be the final piece of content for Modern Warfare, so get in there and enjoy Al Raab Airbase and Drainage right now!
