Following the release of Metro Exodus earlier this year, Deep Silver and 4A Games have today announced details of the game’s upcoming expansion pass.
Metro Exodus is set to receive two new pieces of DLC as part of the expansion pass, each of which will focus on characters other than that of Artyom, the protagonist in the main game. The first of these two new content drops, called The Two Colonels, will arrive this summer and will follow the story of Colonel Khlebnikov as he works his way home towards his son underneath the city of Novosibirsk. This narrative is then seen through the eyes of Colonel Miller a year later and will feature new environments and new weapons like the flamethrower.
The second piece of add-on content is called Sam’s Story and will be arriving early in 2020. This DLC story will follow a United States marine named Sam who is looking for a way to get back home and find out if his family is still alive. Sam’s Story will take place in what is said to be a survival sandbox level that is based on Vladivostok.
Per usual with DLC of this kind, both stories will be available for purchase separately or as part of the expansion pass for Metro Exodus. Currently, the expansion pass for the game will set you back $24.99. While individual prices for each additional chapter haven’t been given yet, I’d imagine they’re each about $14.99.
If you’re looking to finally pick up the base game of Metro Exodus, it’s available now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
