Today, Media create released its weekly sales chart of the Japanese video game market.
For the week between July 31st and August 6th, it was once again Square Enix’s 3DS and PS4 game Dragon Quest XI at the top of the software chart, making it two straight weeks for the eleventh main series entry in one of video game’s most iconic franchises.
Dragon Quest XI also came in at No.2, with the PS4 version selling right behind the 3DS version. Meanwhile, Splatoon 2 held onto No.3, as new arrivals The Great Ace Attorney 2 and Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy came in hot, grabbing the No.4 and No.5 spot respectively.
As for hardware, the Nintendo Switch has taken back its normal No.1 spot after being usurped last week by the 2DS and PS4/PS4 Pro.
All of this week’s new additions to the Top 20 include: The Great Ace Attorney 2 at No.4, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy at No.5, and The Great Ace Attorney 1 & 2 Limited Edition at No.8.
