Max Factory has given us the first look of the figma they will be producing for the upcoming game, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.
Revealed via Max Factory’s Twitter, the figma is a recreation of the game’s protagonist. Although this is just a prototype, it looks very detailed, especially the prosthetic arm which was used to tease the game during the Game Awards. Hopefully, we’ll get to see full details on pricing and a colored version of it sooner rather than later.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is the next game being developed by FromSoftware, the people who brought you Dark Souls and Bloodborne; this time around. Activision will be acting as publisher. According to the description on the official website, the game will be set in late 1500s Sengoku Japan, as you play the role of the “one-armed wolf”, a warrior who is bound to protect a young lord. After being disgraced and essentially left for dead, you are saved; however, the young lord has been captured. You will go on a quest of redemption to gain back your honor and take revenge on those who kidnapped the lord. A new trailer was just revealed giving some insight on the game’s narrative.
The gameplay is in-line with other FromSoftware titles with its difficult and strategic combat. Where Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice noticeably deviates is in its level design and traversal options. A more subtle departure but one that will drastically change combat scenarios is a new mechanic called posturing. The goal in combat is to disrupt your opponent’s posture and land a killing blow. You can read our preview to see our thoughts of the game thus far.
In other recent Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice news, the PC specs for the game have been revealed. I think it’s safe to say if you built a rig recently, you can probably run the game. Additionally, a short video was posted from the game’s Twitter account revealing one of the game’s bosses, Gyoubu Masataka Oniwa.
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is set to launch on March 22, 2019, for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
