While the next-gen consoles are likely on everyone’s minds for the next few months, 2020 still has a few more big releases coming up before the end of the year. Namely, Marvel’s Avengers is one of the biggest to arrive this month, with Earth’s Mightiest Heroes banding together in the new title from Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics.
If you weren’t already aware, Marvel’s Avengers is available today for anyone that has the Deluxe Edition of the game on consoles or PC, and will be launching for everyone else this Friday, September 4. With that in mind, we wanted to detail what our review and coverage plans for Marvel’s Avengers will be like here at DualShockers, and when you can expect to hear our thoughts on the game.
At the moment we’re currently playing through the game with review code, though the servers for the game have now gone live as of today, September 1. Given that the title relies so heavily on its online experience and features a hefty amount of multiplayer content, we want to deliver our review as quickly as possible while also being comprehensive about what it offers for players. Right now we’re playing through the single-player campaign, and after that we’ll delve into the multiplayer offerings to see what the launch experience is like with the rest of its players.
In order to properly review and assess the game’s offerings, we’ll most likely target our review to go up early next week to get a full picture of what it’s like playing Marvel’s Avengers in multiplayer with friends and other players. In the meantime, we’ll likely have other coverage for the game coming later this week, along with accompanying videos on our YouTube channel, such as gameplay and more. You can also likely expect us to go more in-depth on the game with one of our “DualShockers Discussions” videos to accompany the review.
Thanks again for reading and being a part of our wonderful community, and stay tuned while we assemble our thoughts on Marvel’s Avengers.
