Another week, another slate of games coming to Xbox One’s Backward Compatibility program. This week, four new games in total have joined the service all from publisher Capcom.
For starters, the entire Lost Planet trilogy is now available to revisit on Xbox One. If you’re unfamiliar with Lost Planet, it is a series of third-person shooter games that came about in the Xbox 360 era. The first game in the series, Lost Planet: Extreme Condition released back in 2006 before an updated version of the game entitled Lost Planet: Extreme Condition Colonies Edition launched in 2008. Colonies Edition is also available on backward compatibility now as well. Lost Planet 2 later released in 2010 before the franchise’s most recent title Lost Planet 3 hit store shelves in 2013.
Also coming to the program this week is that of Resident Evil: Code Veronica X, the HD version of the RE classic. If you’ve recently played the new Resident Evil 2 and are looking to go revisit some of the entries from previous years, now is the perfect time to do so.
All in all, it’s a pretty good slate of new games this week. I haven’t thought about the Lost Planet franchise in years but I really enjoyed the first few entries in the series. Check them out if you haven’t before.
