As the long-awaited follow-up to the 2017 original, the upcoming Little Nightmares 2 seems to be upping the ante on what made the first game so memorable and striking. The horror sequel is giving players more horrors to await, and now you can take a look at what its gameplay will have in store with its release early next year.

During Gamescom Opening Night Live, a new trailer was shown for the upcoming Little Nightmares 2 to give us a look at the horror title. Specifically, the new trailer provided a deeper look at its gameplay, which showcases the creepy new environments and enemies that players will have to face in the title.

You can check out the new gameplay trailer for Little Nightmares 2 below:

The sequel by developer Tarsier Studios was first revealed at least year’s Gamescom Opening Night Live and was originally scheduled to release sometime in 2020. However, the game was pushed back to early 2021, and is confirmed to be arriving for consoles and PC. Additionally, the new trailer also confirmed that the game will be heading to PS5 and Xbox Series X sometime later in 2021.

Like its predecessor, the sequel will have players trying to avoid a series of horrific monsters and creatures in a world vastly larger than its protagonists. Picking up where the original left off, Little Nightmares 2 will feature Six as she encounters the new playable character, a boy named Mono, as they work their way towards reaching the Black Tower and stopping unspeakable new horrors from emerging.

As a fan of the original game, the gameplay footage for its sequel seems incredibly promising, and we won’t have too much longer to wait before it arrives in February.

Little Nightmares 2 will release for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on February 11, 2021. The game will also be arriving later in 2021 for PS5 and Xbox Series X.
