Both of Playdead’s beloved games Limbo and Inside have rolled out onto every platform imaginable in the years following each of their releases, though one recently released console has still eluded each title. That is, until next week.
Playdead announced today that both Limbo and Inside will be arriving next week on June 28 for the Nintendo Switch. The announcement was made via Playdead’s Twitter account where they confirmed that the release of both titles on Switch will be worldwide. Inside was confirmed to be coming to Switch last year but at the time no release window was given. Now, we definitely have a window.
Limbo originally released on the Xbox 360 in 2010 and later came to PC, PS3, and iOS before later making its way to current generation platforms such as PS4 and Xbox One. Inside, which first launched on Xbox One back in 2016, soon after came to PC, PS4, and iOS. The advent of each game coming to Switch has now ensured that both Limbo and Inside are readily available on virtually every platform, which means there’s no longer any reason to miss out on playing either of these gems.
If somehow you’ve never checked out either title, then be sure to go read our past reviews of both Limbo and Inside. Currently, Playdead is hard at work on their follow-up to Inside but no details other than a lone teaser image have been revealed just yet. Hopefully, we learn more about just what this mysterious game could be sooner rather than later.
