As the follow-up to the acclaimed indie horror game, Layers of Fear 2 already looks like it will be a terrifying experience for players new and old of the series, and now those looking forward to the game will only have a few more weeks to wait.
Developer Bloober Team has announced that Layers of Fear 2 will officially debut on May 28, 2019, with the game set to launch on PS4, Xbox One, and PC next month. Previously, the developer stated that the game would also be coming to Nintendo Switch, though told us at PAX East 2019 a few weeks ago that the Switch version won’t be arriving at launch and will come at a later date.
Much like its predecessor, Layers of Fear 2 takes the form of a first-person psychological horror game where players have to work their way through a number of chilling environments to survive. However, this time around the series is shifting its focus from a dilapidated mansion to an eerie cruise ship, with the player taking on the role of an actor in the lead role of a film in progress. Of course, given that this is a horror game, we can already expect that things obviously won’t go according to plan.
Layers of Fear 2 will release for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on May 28, 2019, with a Nintendo Switch version of the game expected sometime down the line.
