Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise is set to launch next month on Nintendo Switch. The game is both a prequel and sequel to the original game. If you were concerned that the sequel wouldn’t live up to the campy weirdness that made the original such a cult classic, you can toss that aside. As the latest trailer shows, fans are will get exactly what they’ve been asking for. Check it out.
I might be biased, but I can’t remember a video game trailer I’ve more than this one. It just so perfectly captures the original game’s insanity and shows you the sequel isn’t going to mess around.
As mentioned above, Deadly Premonition 2 brings back Francis York Morgan, while also introducing a new agent. Part of the game will focus on Agent Morgan’s handling of a case back in 2005, while the other will follow Aaliyah Davis in 2019. The two stories intertwine in ways that I can only imagine will break my brain.
The trailer does give us a look at one the mini-games Deadly Premonition 2 brings to the table in bowling. However, I personally cannot wait to see how York handles a skateboard. I know Tony Hawk and Skate are both getting new games, but this is the skateboarding game I’m most looking forward to.
Fortunately, we don’t have to wait much longer to see what York and Zach are up to. Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise launches for Nintendo Switch on July 10. I hope to see you at Casa Pineapple next month!
