This week marked the two year anniversary since Oculus VR released its virtual reality headset the Oculus Rift. To commemorate the head mount display’s anniversary, the Facebook subsidiary has rewarded Rift users with an array of goodies, with the most critical one includes adding Oculus Rift support for Rockstar Games’ 2017 title, L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files.

According to the company, as of yesterday, L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files now supports Oculus Rift HMD’s, this marks the end of the game as an HTC Vive-exclusive title. Initially released in mid-December of last year, L.A. Noire The VR Case Files is somewhat of a remake of Team Bondi’s L.A. Noire.

The VR Case Files features seven of the self-contained cases from the original game, all of which have been rebuilt from the ground up to accommodate virtual reality technology. Several changes made to this rendition of the game include modifications to the combat system and switching the game to a first-person perspective. On top of that, L.A. Noire: The VR Case files is the first virtual reality game developed by Rockstar Games.

If you have been following me for quite some time, you will know I am very fond of L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files, and it was also one of my favorite games released last year. Additionally, if you are interested in reading my full thoughts on the game, check out my full review.
