Here’s how you can turn your normal ball throw into a tactical piece of art.
Running around with a ball in your hands waiting to knock your opponent to the floor seems like a lot of fun in EA and Velan Studios newest Battle Royale game, Knockout City.
Although this is essentially the crux of Knockout City, there are many things you can do to make this competitive dodgeball game even more enjoyable. So before you get stuck into the free-to-play title, let me show you how you can get one up on your enemy by throwing a curveball that they won’t see coming.

How do you Throw a Curveball in Knockout City?
If you’re finding yourself constantly getting hit with balls that seem to come out of nowhere, it’s because your enemy is using a tactic in Knockout City‘s matches called a ‘Curveball’.
A curveball makes it much more difficult to catch or evade from so it’s best you learn this trick straight off the bat. To do it, all you have to do is this:
- On PC, press the E key to spin the ball and then aim in the direction of your opponent
- On PS4 and Xbox controller, jump in the air by pressing X or A (depending on the controller layout) then hit the circle or B button and R2/RT to throw the curveball.
It’s as simple as that. The longer you hold onto the ball by charging it up – hold R2 on PS4 controller/RT Xbox/Left click on mouse – the bigger the impact it will have on your enemy and the greater chance of a knockout.
