UK-based games publisher PQube Games has announced that they are partnering with Arc System Works in order to release Kill la Kill IF in Europe for PlayStation 4, PC, and Nintendo Switch. In a follow up tweet they confirmed there would be a English dub and a sub.
In response to whether there will be a release in North America PQube Games pointed towards Arc System America as the ones to ask, although Arc System Works’ website was updated yesterday to include Kill la Kill IF under their American division. As has become standard with localized versions of Japanese games, PQube also responded to fears of changes stating that there are “No changes on any region/platform.”
Voice Over Director Alex von David, who was the voice director and credited as an additinal series writer responded with “!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” to the English dub confirmation, though whether he and the actual voice actors will be reprising their roles for the English dub remains to be seen. Erica Mendez, voice of Ryuko Matoi, also responded to the dub confirmation with “:)” She also apparently had to clarify that she is not in Dead or Alive 6 (out now) despite some fans being convinced it was her voice they heard.
We recently got a good look at some of Kill la Kill IF‘s gameplay with a video showing off Nui Harime and Ragyo Kiryuin utilizing some of their signature moves. The Kill la Kill IF website also got updated with lots of information near the end of December that revealed some details on the all new branching storyline that the game will go down and game modes. Two new game modes revealed include Free Match in which players can fight offline against a CPU or a 2nd player controlled character and Player or Rank Match where players fight others online.
No release date has been given beyond “2019” for Kill la Kill IF.
