In the latest scan of V-Jump, Jump Force is bringing Dragon Ball Z favorites, Piccolo and Cell, to the roster as well as Himura Kenshin and Makoto Shishio from Rurouni Kenshin. The inclusion of Rurouni Kenshin was rumored not too long ago, though, was uncertain due to the controversy revolving around the manga’s creator.
Kenshin and Shishio look almost exactly how they did in the anime, though with that next-gen gloss Jump Force is bringing to the roster. There seem to be some details into the abilities Kenshin and Shishio use in the upcoming fighting game. It looks like Himura has some speed focused special abilities, reminiscent of the anime. Shishio, of course, brings out fire-oriented moves that he was always associated with.
Piccolo and Cell kind of snuck in there on the roster page, blending in with Vegeta and Frieza. But we see Piccolo in his iconic cape and headwrap while Cell looks just as menacing as I would imagine him in 3D. There are no details about their moves, but being that these two have been in quite the number of fighting games we can imagine how these two will play. Either way, I’m excited to add Piccolo to my team on both Dragon Ball FighterZ and Jump Force now.
There were also some details on Light and Ryuk as far as appearance and story involvement, though we will have to wait for an official translation to learn more.
You can buy Jump Force on February 19, 2019, for PC, Xbox One and PS4.
