It Takes Two is the latest release from esteemed game developer Josef Fares and his company, Hazelight Studios.
It releases on the back of Fares’ last game, A Way Out, and seemingly pulls from and builds on the successful formula that the title had.
A Way Out had a singular focus on co-op gameplay, something which has been replicated to seemingly great effect with It Takes Two.
So much so in fact that Josef Fares and Twitter as a whole have reacted to the It Takes Two review scores. Here are the best reactions we found!

Who is Josef Fares?
Fares is a Swedish-Lebanese game designer. He’s worked as a designer on three games total, with Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons joining the pair of aforementioned titles.
He’s known for being outspoken and for having no filter, in the nicest of ways. During The Game Awards in 2017, Fares appeared on stage in which he declared how passionate he is, before screaming “F**k the Oscars”. More recently, Fares called the Xbox Series S/X out for having “a F**King Confusing Name.”
How did Josef Fares react to the It Takes Two Metacritic score?
After the initial release of reviews, It Takes Two scored a staggering 90 on review aggregator site Metacritc. Despite being a “passionate” guy, Fares played it super cool – just saying “This is looking good”.

Congrats @josef_fares . You and the team do a great job in your games thinking through the player journey, emotion and setting. Also a huge fan of your focus on co-op gameplay. Can't wait to play #ittakestwogame with friends.
