While titles like Hearthstone are extremely popular, one can admit the in order to stay competitive, players do have to buy card packs an expansions, which can get expensive. Developer Playniac is hoping to counter titles like Hearthstone with its more wallet-friendly CCG title Insane Robots, which is poised to hit PC, Mac, PS4, and Xbox One on July 10.
Gameplay is kept pretty simple, there are only 46 robot cards, 100 augments, and 22 tokens to pull from. The game was actually conceived by the developers within 15 as they were playing around with old business cards. That being said, Playniac still promises that Insane Robots has a lot of strategical depth to it.
Outside of local and ranked multiplayer battles, the title will feature a fifteen-hour single-player campaign that has players leading a robot rebellion through five survival arenas that are randomly generated. Insane Robots will cost $15.99 at launch, though the Insane Robots Deluxe Pack, which includes that games Season Pass, will be available for $23.09.
