Genshin Impact just launched a new daily check in feature, where players can most notably get free Primogems via the HoYoLAB Community, the official forums of Genshin Impact’s developer miHoYo. However, several players on PS4 are quite unhappy with the situation.
Starting now, by logging into HoYoLAB Community every day, accessing the main menu at the page’s top right, and by clicking “Check In”, players get free rewards. The rewards are distributed via in-game mails.
However, PS4 players cannot use this feature and get the rewards.

It’s also important to note that when Genshin Impact first officially launched on September 28, 2020, PS4 players were already facing a similar problem. Whenever miHoYo published promotional codes for free Primogems, most notably on live streams, PS4 players couldn’t redeem said codes. As they only had PSN accounts to play and no miHoYo account. This problem has been solved now, and players can redeem free Primogems codes in-game.
However, the same situation is happening again with hoYoLAB. As such, many PS4 and now PS5 players, are feeling neglected.

There’s also how part of the player base is unhappy with the rewards offered by the HoYoLAB daily check in themselves, but that’s another debate.
Hu Tao is the newest character coming to Genshin Impact, on March 2. Her exact release date time and details can be found here.
miHoYo also picked very interesting choices for Hu Tao’s Japanese voice, and her English voice. Be sure to check our guide for the newest five stra weapon as well, the Staff of Homa.
Genshin Impact is a free-to-play open world action JRPG, available on PC, PS4, PS5 via backward compatibility, and Mobile. The game was also announced on Switch but has no release date there yet.
