Dambuster Studios and Deep Silver released Homefront: The Revolution last year on PC, PS4, and Xbox One to negative reviews, as the game was plagued with technical problems. Since then, the developers have been continually supporting and fixing the game with updates and DLC. That continues today with the release of the Xbox One X, as the studios revealed that Homefront: The Revolution has received an update that enhances it on Xbox One X.
This update enhances the game visually more on Xbox One X than on the PS4 Pro. Homefront: The Revolution is rendered at 3200 x 1800 on Xbox One X. As a result, the game looks good on 4k TVs and even has a super-sampled image on 1080p TVs. All HUD and UI elements are now rendered in 4K, as has the in-game Time Splitters 2 arcade machine.
Homefront: The Revolution also uses the Xbox One X’s increased power to improve the framerate even more and display more high-qaulity textures on screen at a single time than ever before. The title also now has HDR support on both Xbox One S and Xbox One X. For those looking to purchase the game, it is currently discounted (until November 14) on Xbox One via Deals with Gold.
Homefront: The Revolution is currently available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with enhancements for PS4 Pro and Xbox One X.
