If you’re still not over the masterpiece that is God of War, then you’re in luck. A novelization of the game will be available at the end of the month, but it is currently available for pre-order if you can’t wait.
The book will follow the events of the game, and it was written by J.M. Barlog, who is the father of Cory Barlog, the director of God of War. This probably makes J.M. Barlog the best person to transfer the father and son relationship of Kratos and Atreus from the game to the book. The description of the book on Amazon says:
His vengeance against the gods of Olympus years behind him, Kratos now lives as a man in the realm of Norse gods and monsters. It is in this harsh, unforgiving world that he must fight to survive … and teach his son to do the same. This startling reimagining of God of War deconstructs the core elements that defined the series-satisfying combat, breathtaking scale, and a powerful narrative-and fuses them anew.
God of War: The Official Novelization will be available for Kindle for $9.99 and in paperback form for $14.95 on August 28th, and it looks like it will be available as an audiobook at a later date. However, if you really can’t wait, DualShockers has you covered, and you can head over to Amazon to pre-order the book now.
