As a nice little holiday gift, the team at Sony Santa Monica Studio gave away some of the original God of War pre-order content for free this past holiday. It includes several different in-game skins for both Kratos and Atreus and was only available for a short time. Well, now Santa Monica Studio has decided to open that window right back up and let players grab those skins. However, you’ll need to act quick, as the content is going away from good very soon.

These God of War skins aren’t game-changing or anything. Personally, I platinumed the game in 2018 without any of them and still absolutely loved it. However, they are a nice touch from the devs that give you an opportunity to customize your personal Kratos.
When it launched, God of War quickly become one of the premier titles on PS4. The game did blockbusters in sales and was widely well-received by critics. DualShockers even gave Kratos’ latest journey a coveted 10/10. And we were far from the only outlet to do so. Its popularity is still being felt today with fans creating awesome fan art and the internet as a whole running rampant with speculation about the upcoming sequel. So, it’s neat to see the studio giving back to the community in this small way.
God of War is available on PS4 now. Recently, we included it (nearly unanimously) as one of the definitive games to play on PS4. If you have the console, you really should give it a try.
