As one of the most anticipated PS4 exclusives of the year (and potentially one of the system’s last), the upcoming Ghost of Tsushima from developer Sucker Punch Productions has already wowed us over the years with stunning trailers and gameplay demos. The visuals of the game especially seem like a sight to behold, with a new art book coming later this year to reveal what went into the making of Sucker Punch’s samurai epic.
Sucker Punch Productions has detailed the upcoming official art book for the game called The Art of Ghost of Tsushima, which will provide a deeper look into the creation of the game and the concept art that helped bring it to life. At this time, Sucker Punch said that the book will arrive sometime later this year, while the book’s Amazon page lists its release for June 30, 2020. While this may just be a retail placeholder, it could also indicate that the art book would seemingly arrive near the game’s release in June.
We’re excited to announce The Art of #GhostOfTsushima in collaboration with our friends at @DarkHorseComics!
The book launches later this year and has roughly 200 pages of art from throughout development, including insight from our team!

According to Dark Horse’s website, The Art of Ghost of Tsushima will feature 208 pages of concept art and illustrations that went into the making of the anticipated game, and will retail for $49.99 online and in stores. Specifically, Dark Horse explains that the art book will show “every detail of the vast and exotic locale, featuring elegant illustrations of dynamic characters, spirited landscapes, and diagrams of Samurai sword-fighting techniques,” and will also highlight “storyboards and renders from the most intense, eloquent, and expressive cinematic moments of the game.”
Ghost of Tsushima will launch exclusively for PS4 on June 26, 2020. The art book itself is expected sometime later this year, and can be pre-ordered on Amazon right now.
