MiHoYo just published its traditional Q&A with developers, ahead of the release of ver 1.4 of Genshin Impact (PC, PS4, PS5, Mobile, Switch TBA) – several questions picked from feedback have been answered, one most notably regarding Condensed Resin. Note that the Genshin Impact 1.4 Q&A is only available in Japanese as we’re writing this, but we’ve translated the section concerning Condensed Resin below.
Condensed Resin are items which can be crafted through alchemy in Genshin Impact. By spending 40 Original Resin, players can make one piece of Condensed Resin. Spending Condensed Resin in Domains or Ley Line Blossoms gets you double the amount of rewards. It’s basically a way to run the same Domain or Ley Line twice as fast.
However, players can only hold three pieces of Condensed Resin at a time. Once you run out, you need to go and craft some more. Which can be annoying.
In the Q&A, miHoYo revealed that the upper limit of Condensed Resin will be adjusted in Genshin Impact 1.4.

We translated this section of the Q&A below:
Q: “I would like some changes regarding the upper limit of Condensed Resin.”
miHoYo: “In Ver 1.4 the upper limit of the amount of Condensed Resin you can carry at a time will be adjusted. Please check the Genshin Impact Ver 1.4 preview stream, coming at a later date, for further details.”
While we don’t know how much the new upper limit will be, this is definitely good news for players used to running Domains. Especially when farming Artifacts.
miHoYo did not announce yet when the 1.4 showcase stream will take place. However, be sure that we will be here to translate and cover everything in real time. As we did with the three previous streams so far.
It’s possible other changes to the Resin system could be announced on Stream. A Resin Daily Pass was most notably spotted in the past, and it could be officially announced this time.
Hu Tao is the newest character coming to Genshin Impact, on March 2. Her exact release date time and details can be found here. miHoYo also picked interesting choices for Hu Tao voices, and we explained the reasoning behind both her Japanese voice, and her English voice. Be sure to check our guide for the newest five star weapon as well, the Staff of Homa.
A new update for HoYoLAB Comunity was recently revealed as well, but PS4 players are dissatisfied with it. miHoYo also just announced a new figure for Klee so here’s everything you need to know about it.
