It seems that Fortnite‘s popularity continues to grow as the battle royale juggernaut hits 100 million downloads on iOS.
This is according to the latest estimate from statistics firm Apptopia, which shows the game reaching the milestone having only been on the market for a total of 138 days. It seems that competitor Playernknown’s Battlegrounds is still trailing behind and is not expected to hit the 100 million mark for another 206 days.
That being said, do keep in mind that these are estimates and not official data, so they should be taken with the customary grain of salt.
The online shooter was recently reported to bring in a whopping average of $2 million per day on iOS and is predicted to go on to make half a billion dollars in in-app purchases before next summer.
Although Fortnite is among the most played games in the world at the moment, Epic Games’ colossal hit is still playing catch up on Nintendo’s Super Mario Run and Niantic’s Pokémon Go on mobile devices respectively.
Fornite is out now on iOS, Xbox One, PC, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.
