Fans of Fire Emblem Heroes can go out with a bang this year, thanks to the game’s New Year’s event. The in-game bundle offers up either Fjorm or Laevatein in their special New Year’s outfit as well as 10,000 feathers, 400 Aether Stones and 140 summoning orbs.
For those unfamiliar with the currency, 140 orbs can get you roughly 28 individual character summons. Feathers are used to upgrade your units, while Aether Stones are meant for upgrading structures in the game. If you have already invested a fair amount of time in this game…maybe this bundle is worth dropping $75?
As someone who spends a fair amount of time with gacha phone games, these ambitious bundles are nothing new. For example, in Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle, you can buy a summoning currency bundle for $45. Now, this is still $30 shy of what Fire Emblem Heroes is boasting, but you can see these in-game offers do come at players often enough.
If you want some more Fire Emblem action, but not necessarily on mobile, you can anticipate Fire Emblem: Three Houses which was announced earlier this year. For those of you who want to play as some of your favorites from the series, such as Marth and Robin, can do so in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate for the Nintendo Switch. If you haven’t already, you can pick up Super Smash Bros. Ultimate on Amazon.
