Fans of Square Enix’s popular MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV have plenty of reasons to be excited for 2019. With the upcoming release of the game’s third expansion, Shadowbringers, players can expect tons of new content in the future. With Patch 4.5 rolling out on Tuesday the development team has now given subscribers new info on some upcoming changes to group posing and camera effects.
The changes aren’t major but will add in some quality of life improvements to both features. Starting with group poses, players will now have the option to change up their pose during group poses. Originally, players could disrupt group poses with wrong inputs and they’d have to leave the group pose to change emotes if they didn’t like the one they were using. Now, you can only exit group pose mode through a prompt and on top of that you can change your emote as you’re posing.
With camera effects, you’ll now have a manual focus option on the in-game camera. Originally, the camera would automatically focus on whatever the player has targeted. Once Patch 4.5 is available players can change this and really start getting creative with camera controls. These additions will definitely make in-game screenshots all the more gratifying for players. The development team released some early images of all the new options in action that you can check out below.
The full list of changes can be found over at Final Fantasy XIV’s Developer’s Blog. Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is available right now on PS4 and PC.
