Final Fantasy XIV continues to be on the better MMOs in the business. The team has done so much to salvage what was originally a flop and turn it into a game that many fans consider the best Final Fantasy. It’s a development saga that continues to impress, and it looks like we’ll be getting a look at what’s next very soon. On February 5 at 5:30 pm PST the team will kick off a new announcement showcase. Of course, they don’t actually give any real details about what might be coming with the showcase. That would be spoiling the surprise for Final Fantasy XIV fans everywhere. That said, the game has consistently been churning out quality content for a while now, so I wouldn’t expect anything less here.
I mean, Shadowbringers is probably the best content the team has done so far. And they just dropped new stuff to do in that expansion back in December. So, I’m not sure exactly what they could announce here. Of course, Square Enix did just register all those new trademarks recently. Perhaps one of those was a new FFXIV expansion title? I suppose only time will tell. Fortunately, we don’t have to wait much longer.
Final Fantasy XIV is available now on PC and PS4. Make sure to check back early next month to see what Square Enix announces. As a quick reminder, the event goes live at 5:30 pm PST on February 5. So, bookmark your calendar if you want to watch it yourself.
