We’ve known for a bit now that Game of Thrones creator George R.R. Martin has been working on an upcoming Japanese video game and rumors have indicated that the project he’s involved in is with developer FromSoftware. Now, mere days before E3 2019 is set to kick off, it seems that this much-talked-about game has now leaked.
As shared over on Twitter by industry insider Daniel Ahmad, the FromSoftware and Martin collaborative project has now supposedly come to light. The game is entitled Elden Ring and Ahmad states that it is set to release on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Nothing else other than the name of the game and the initial poster can be seen, but we’ll surely see more officially later this weekend during E3.
Elden Ring’s reveal comes just mere minutes after Tales of Arise, a new entry in the Tales of series, also was said to have leaked. It seems that Bandai Namco Entertainment, the publisher of both games, had a leak of sorts online that has divulged a multitude of upcoming titles that it has set to release and subsequently reveal this coming week at E3 2019. It’s a shame that Bandai Namco couldn’t keep this reveal locked away until E3 proper but, man, am I excited that this game even exists in the first place.
Again, while it’s important to keep in mind that Elden Ring hasn’t been officially revealed just yet, it seems like a lock that we’ll hear more in a few days, likely during Microsoft’s E3 2019 press conference. Until that time, you can check out the first poster for Elden Ring in the tweet down below.
