The gaming community is hoping to hear some announcements on Gotham Knights at E3 2021. However, what are the odds of the WB title making an appearance at the event?
E3 is one of the best biggest trade events in the video game industry. Each year, several publishers surprise the gaming community with massive video game reveals at the event.
We are extremely close to E3 2021, and plenty of companies have confirmed their appearance at this year’s event, including Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. And that’s why some people are confident that we could hear some big Gotham Knights announcement in a few days.

Gotham Knights: What do we know so far?
Gotham Knights is an upcoming action role-playing game that focuses on Nightwing, Batgirl, Robin, and Red Hood from DC comics. Interestingly, Warner Bros. Montreal, the studio that gave us Arkham Origins, has taken the mantle for developing Gotham Knights.
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced Gotham Knights last year at DC FanDome. Initially, the studio planned to release the title in 2021 for Windows, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. However, in March 2021, the game was delayed to release in 2022.
According to the studio, they had to delay the game so that the team can get “more time to deliver the best possible experience for players.”
Will Gotham Knights appear at E3 2021?
Last year, when Warner Bros. announced Gotham Knights, they released the game’s cinematic trailer. And that’s not it; the studio also put out a 7 minutes 48 seconds long gameplay walkthrough.
So, the gaming community has already had a pretty good look at Gotham Knights. Now, the only thing left for people to hear is a release date for the game.
Since WB is appearing at E3 2021 on Sunday, June 13th, 2021, it’s not too crazy to assume that the studio could reveal a potential release date for the title. We could also see another trailer showcasing how far the game is in development; however, there’s one concern.
Recently, Summer Game Fest officially confirmed on Twitter that the Warner Bros. presentation on June 13th would only be about Back 4 Blood, and there won’t be a separate WB event at SGF.
Now, it could mean that WB will appear at another event to talk about its other upcoming titles, including Gotham Knights. But honestly, that also seems unlikely.
Apparently, Warner Bros. confirmed that DC FanDome is coming back this year on October 16th. So, there’s a chance that the studio could save the Gotham Knights release date announcement for FanDome instead of E3 2021.
Of course, this is just a prediction, but it’s still best not to get your hopes too high for some big Gotham Knights announcement at E3 2021.
