Bandai Namco revealed new gameplay for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, showing Majin Vegeta during the Buu arc. We get to see Vegeta exploring part of the map, fighting some Babidi mooks and then Majin Buu.
Bandai Namco also released another trailer summarizing the game flow in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, explaining the various game systems. The trailer most notably details how some boss fights in the game can feel “unfair”, to properly reflect how Goku and friends often went against much more powerful opponents.
Both trailers and new screenshots, showing SSJ3 Goku against Kid Buu, are included below. The screenshots are only found on the Japanese website hence why they aren’t in English. They most notably show the driving minigame and controlling a bipedal mech used for mining. You can develop other mecha too. We also see screenshots of the various locations in the game.
Lastly, the screenshots also show minigames or game systems we already saw in the past, like how you can fish or eat. I almost burst out laughing at the Chichi cooking screenshot because of the “Dragon Ball Z: Stay in the Kitchen” factor it can bring out of context. Though it would be nice if Android 18 and/or Videl were playable.
I must admit I was pretty uninterested in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot when it was first revealed, but it looks better and better now. The previous screenshots showed Vegito in action, and you can check more gameplay here.
Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will be launching on January 17 on Ps4, Xbox One, and PC. You can preorder it on Amazon.
