IzanagiGames announced a few days ago the date would be revealed this June 5th, and the reveal was bundled with a pretty fun video starring news anchor Kenichi Mino, one of the characters of DCT, played by Jiro Sato.
As the video reexplains, or not, Death Come True is a Full Motion Video game with its protagonist, Makoto Karaki, looping back in time whenever he dies. Makoto is stuck in a hotel with multiple other characters, lost his memories, and he might be a serial killer. Players will pick choices, looping again and again, until they clear all the mysteries around the eerie situation.
Here’s the cast of Death Come True:
- Kanata Hongo, who plays the protagonist, Makoto Karaki.
- Chiaki Kuriyama, police investigator Akane Sachimura.
- Yuki Kaji, the unnamed, mysterious hotel receptionist.
- Win Morisaki, genius police investigator Nozomu Kuji.
- Chihiro Yamamoto, psychopath girl Nene Kurushima.
- Jiro Sato, news anchor Kenichi Mino.
Death Come True is extremely cheap. 1960 Yen is pretty much the same as the temporary price, 1900 Yen, revealed during Death Come True‘s stage event back in February 2020. Back then, Game Producer Shinsuke Umeda explained how the price is akin to a movie ticket, so as many people as possible can enjoy the game. Moreover, it echos how Death Come True is both a game and a movie. The game’s cast, all present during the stage show, shared numerous comments we translated. Be sure to check out our report of the stage show.
