Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise will be launching worldwide on July 10, 2020. Rising Sar Games, and Toybox announced. Deadly Premonition 2 is a Nintendo Switch exclusive, and will be available both on the Nintendo Eshop digitally and in stores physically, for $49.99.
A Blessing in Disguise is directed and written by the origin author of the IP, Hidetaka Suehiro aka Swery. The game works both as a sequel and a prequel to the original Deadly Premonition. The storyline follows Agents Davis and Jones as they go back in time through the memories of an ex FBI agent, and unravel the murder mystery in Le Carré in Louisiana. Deadly Premonition 2 is an open-ended murder mystery, with the players traveling the town to pursue their investigation by foot or on skateboard. It’ll also feature various minigames such as Bowling, Bayou Ride, Skateboard Challenge, and more. Our own agents can be customized, as well as their skateboard, for improved speed, landing, and new tricks

The original game and Swery as a developer has many fans, which led to the announcement of this new episode in September 2019. The switch port of the original game, Deadly Premonition Origins, is also 50% off until May 17, 2020, on the Nintendo Eshop.

Swery and his studio White Owls is also working on a game called The Good Life which will hopefully release someday. It still has no release date, but it’s planned on PC, PS4 and Xbox. Swery is also on a game project with Suda Goichi, and maybe Keiichiro Toyama, and it’s tentatively named Hotel Barcelona. Nothing is really set in stone yet about this project, but you can read about it extensively here.
