Dark Souls: Remastered was announced during the latest Nintendo Direct. Shortly afterward, the official PlayStation blog published a post from Bandai Namco that revealed some of the features that would be in the PS4 Pro version of the game. It turns out, however, that there was a  fairly big mistake made in the post.

To be fair, the list of features was the usual bullet points for PS4 Pro/Xbox One X versions of games, so it’s entirely possible that it was included without thought. The post has since been updated to correct this.

The community head was quick to correct this mistake, taking to Twitter to air the message.

“So to correct a few things that I posted about yesterday – Dark Souls Remastered will not include new assets based on the Dark Souls 3 engine or any combat differences. There is no HDR lighting for the PS4 Pro version.”

Dark Souls: Remastered is set for release on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch on May 25. Despite the mistakes made in the announcement, the original game is highly praised, and the remaster has been anticipated for years so fans can experience the original Dark Souls on current generation platforms. The game will still feature 4K resolution and a boosted framerate and many other features.
